Conspiracy of Lemurs

Turning a Conservation Dream into Reality

by Penelope Bodry-Sanders and Fiona Brady

A Conspiracy of Lemurs is the captivating memoir of Penelope Bodry-Sanders, who found her life's purpose at 49—creating a viable safety net for species on the brink of extinction. The book blends natural history narrative with the transformative journey of a woman who harnessed her passions into meaningful action.

REVIEWS

“

A Conspiracy of Lemurs is an honest, diverting, and instructional memoir that chronicles both Penelope’s unique personal pathway and her organization’s trajectory—from a wishful concept to an internationally recognized model for protecting the most endangered primates on the planet.

“

I love Penelope-Bodry Sanders’ honest accounting of a most fascinating and unexpected life story. When confronted with the calamitous circumstances facing all lemurs, this former nun and actress/singer shifts focus entirely. A Conspiracy of Lemurs is proof positive that embracing one’s passion with tenacity and vision does make a difference in this world. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.

If you think you know how primatologists find their way, prepare to reset your compass. Penelope Bodry-Sanders’ endearing memoir makes for one of the most eccentric and enchanting tales I have ever read—a must for anyone who cares about the wild.
